ปฏิญญาสากลว่าด้วยสิทธิมนุษยชน: ข้อ ๗

ข้อ ๗ บุคคลมีความเสมอภาคกันทางกฎหมาย

ทุกคนเสมอกันตามกฏหมายและมีสิทธิที่จะได้รับความคุ้มครองของกฏหมายเท่าทียมกัน โดยปราศจากการเลือกปฏิบัติ ทุกคนมีสิทธิที่จะได้รับความคุ้มครองเท่าเทียมกันจากการเลือกปฏิบัติอันเป็นการละเมิดต่อปฏิญญา และจากการยุยงให้เกิดการเลือกปฏิบัติดังกล่าว

Article 7.
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.

ข้อ 2 ห้ามเลือกปฏิบัติต่อมนุษย์
ทุกคนย่อมมีสิทธิและอิสรภาพบรรดาที่กำหนดไว้ในปฏิญญานี้ โดยปราศจากความแตกต่างไม่ว่าชนิดใด ๆ ดังเช่น เชื้อชาติ ผิว เพศ ภาษา ศาสนา ความคิดเห็นทางการเมืองหรือทางอื่น เผ่าพันธุ์แห่งชาติ หรือสังคม ทรัพย์สิน กำเนิด หรือสถานะอื่น
อนึ่งจะไม่มีความแตกต่างใด ๆ ตามพื้นฐานแห่งสถานะทางการเมือง ทางการศาล หรือทางการระหว่างประเทศของประเทศ หรือดินแดนที่บุคคลสังกัด ไม่ว่าดินแดนนี้จะเป็นเอกราช อยู่ในความพิทักษ์มิได้ปกครองตนเอง หรืออยู่ภายใต้การจำกัดอธิปไตยใด ๆ ทั้งสิ้น

Article 2.
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.
